Yeah, no kidding. I got a ride in the AMS drag car a couple of years ago, when it was still a 'street car', making a measly 670whp ... with 3 of us in the car it scared the bejeesus out of me. One of the big reasons why I opted for a 50 trim instead of going with a 35R right off the bat.

I just got a Sparco Evo seat, new mounting hardware for my harnesses, fire suit and helmet, upgraded alternator, and a wingless carbon trunk (light weight ftw!)!

I am also shooting for 9.7-9.9 on race gas! I have a set of BFG Drag radials waiting for my stock rims to get back to me, so that should be helpful!

I went with the crowers. I was going to go with the groden allum. but since I still have college every day and my gf live 45 mins away, Dan told me to go with the crower because hes not sure if the grodens would be up to the task of that kind of a beating every day of the week.

Im hoping to have it back by the 23 or so, that way I can get all my new extras on and get used to it for a week. I want to run in the Import FaceOff, but no way am I going to get it back and go straight over and try for 9s. If Im forced to Ill be the slow one there on Pump with Meth. lol

You will not be disappointed in the BR 2.0L Crower Motor. That was my 1st ever BR motor and i beat it weekly for over a year.. Final #'s were 735whp and the car went 9.6's pass after pass w/o an issue ever.. Then i pulled the motor and switched to the BR Groden rods.. 900+whp same bottom end in my car for months now.. You are going to be very happy with 500 on pump and 600+whp on race gas will get you in the 9's.. Good luck!!

From mi perspective things just happen and you just fix it and move on , i am still waiting on the indi stuff with the stock ported intake manifold in my car, keep on working and keep on racing. Because of you i have saved a lot of money on parts, very great full.

I can see after viewing the logs the last few days on and off that I was definetely inching up on the "danger zone".

I do not feel that trying to go 9's on pump gas had any effect on the car, losing the fuel rail I feel was the start of the problems and lost power I had after that day. I had posted about that ordeal too. For those of you that missed it, on the last run of the day on pump gas the fuel rail stands broke off the intake and caused all the injectors to blow out of the head. After that the car was down on power. We pulled the head and had to fix all the valves and seats. Even after fixing the head the car was down on power, which I never did find. I don't think we checked to see if the head was flat when it was off. Looking back there is a good chance the head was warped and this could have attributed to the damage this time as the way the head was damaged is very odd, like the head was never sitting on the block.

I still intend to go 9's on pump gas, after everything is fixed it should be pretty easy to do actually.

The car will be running again today, I think.

I will say this, when this topic of going 9's on a street evo with pump gas was first broached to me a couple of years back I never believed it would happen.

Flash forward and George the owner of ICS is driving the BAD BISH II which makes 620 whp on PUMP gas and had been driven daily for many months now since it was built. When I say driven I must qualify that as it is only driven at FULL WOT up and down the road beating the **** out of the car.

I have found the BAD BISH II to be 100% dependable and reliable.

Sadly, on another topic, many hobbiests do not factor engine and driveline failures into their caculations when modifying cars. When you are making a lot more power than stock there is a very real opportunity for things to break and if you desire to go very fast you have to expect failures on occasion as part of the process.

Certainly at the very least the expendables, clutch, tires, plugs, oil changes are going to be a lot more frequent and costly on a highly modified car.

Thanks to all you guys! For your compliments! You are the guys that made me say, I want a car that fast and I damn well know who Im taking it to! There is no one I trust more with my car than the guys at Buschur!

Dave, I know exactly where you are coming from! Im going to get tuned for all 3 (Pump, Pump/Meth, and Q16), But I will be starting on straight 93, then step up to the Meth, then the race gas! The last thing I want to do is just hop into it and the power overcome me and do something stupid and destroy a great car.

Also, Thanks Mike, I know I will not be dissappointed with these guys!

Al, you werent invited because it wouldnt be any fun around here if everyone got along! Since Dave decided to become somewhat of a nice guy, you are one of the few Buschur guys with a severe temper that we have left! lol

Thank you c-openson, there are a lot of guys that have saved a lot of money reading what I put up here, some of them like to forget that and I appreciate you coming out and saying it.

My anger management is working well, I've only killed 3-4 small animals in the last few weeks, which saves me a lot of cardboard I like to catch them, put people's names on the cardboard and then release them and hunt them down

Al, just go to the store, pass by the diet Coke and go get a 12 pack of Miller Chill, Bud Lite lime or Guiness, then take that home and start a fire in your back yard or you can go fishing and drink it all each night. Then before you pass out get your wife to bl..... you and you will find you are much more calm, hell it's working for me! haha

Back on topic, my car is running, it's mean.

Car is back together and was on the dyno for 4 passes today. Dialed it in close pretty quickly. At 34 psi the car made 624 whp/506 ft lbs. The best the car has made with the cam/turbo/intake/TB was 644/520 back in February at the same boost level but with 38 degree cooler air intake temps.

On the 4th run I realized the dyno speed/rpm wasn't matching the 644 run I was trying to duplicate and remembered I have the Hoosiers on the car now. The tire growth from that soft tire was throwing off the speed/rpm reading causing the curves to be shifted. I stopped there.

Tomorrow I will get my SSR's and Trampio's back on the car so everything is the same and dyno it again.

I am almost done..............I hope with the car for this year. I have one set of cams, Indy V2 intake to try and two other small parts changes. Then that's it. Whatever I find to work the best will be it for the rest of this season.

I want to get the 1g DSM I bought dialed in and running and mostly get back on the EVOX.

Jeff, we are not loved. We may as well assume our position in life and be happy with what we have.
