Excellent PlugIn ecu option (EVOlink G3)

Hi guys,

Few of us in new zealand are running these systems on our evos, it would be a excellent option for you guys in the states considering the dollar exchange rate.

This link plus G3 is comparable to a MOTEC engine management system

If it doesnt ditch the maf its not better =-)

ECUflash = free

Very nice unit though, definitely seems like a full feature unit for tuning

Cheers!

Any documentation or pricing info?

Its obviously a standalone replacement for the stock ECU, I'm interested if I can find more details on price.

Wow if it does retain obd2 functionality then looks like it will be a winner.

If you read down it says it retains all factory features and emissions. It plugs into the stock ecu with a adapter.

It does not plug into the stock ECU with an adaptor. It replaces the stock ECU and plugs into the factory harness.

Yep, Its a true standalone, it will not pass any OBD-II inspection.

It probably meant that all emission features such as EGR, Evap, and other functions, still work.

I've been tuning Autronic for years and they are top notch. I tried one of these Link products (as i like to test the waters) when they were released (agree on the good price!) and it has its pros and cons. The one thing that stood out for me most as a pro tuner is the barometric compensation that allows for perfect idle regardless of injector sise. It has a userfriendly interface though a little more complicated than it needs to be.

By comparison do however feel that Autronic and motec both have a slight edge over resolutuion in fuel control though i am aware the G3 has a faster processor in their top model.

Still no DBW for 2,5L scoobs though!

Adelin
