Green worth the $?

I currently am running my 06 and just bought a new manifold and O2 sensor housing. My question is how much more power will the green give me over my stock turbo? I have a hard time justifying $1k to $1600 for a 20hp/tq increase. I mostly road race the car and I'm not looking for a super highway beast or anything like that. I just want to know will I really feel the difference and is it worth it? Will I get more than 20 hp/tq? Feedback would be appreciated from some ix owners who converted to the green (no meth injection).

I just went to the Green not too long ago.
In my opinion it's the best mod i've done , other than the S1 cams..
Worth every penny.

I would say you should get 30whp+ with a new tune over the oem turbo..
I'm sure the experts will add their 02, but thats what I got out of it..

Now, I'm trying to decide what meth kit to go with.
I want 400+ whp. lol

good luck..

Its very good if you plan on pushing it to the limit, then its worth every penny, but if youre planning on a conservative tune its hard to justify.

I'm using one on my build for my daily driver, it is a full weight RS. I could have gone with any turbo but after researching the Green it was the best choice for me. On demand low end and mid range torque is very inportant for a street or track junkie and this turbo is the real deal and worth every penny.

I thought you were selling your turbo?

I agree.

Pushed to the limit, this turbo has been proven to run 10's, trap 130, and make over 500ft-lbs of torque.

Conservative, it won't put out much more power than the stock IX turbo.

So has the stock IX turbo (lucas english). Depends on what "pushing the limits" means to some people.

I was thinking about it, but with all the Buschur built 500+whp cars out there, and after talking with 9sec9 I decided my first choice was the right way to go for me. After riding in VWJeff's 10 second DD I was seriously thinking about going bigger, but since I DD this car it makes more sense to have something in line with what I described.

lucas trapped 130?? and ran LOW LOW 10's?? Dont get me wrong lucas has done some great things on stock IX turbo but you have to factor in everything else done to the car.. let him swap on a green and see what happens..

I'm talking about a typical car..

exhaust
intake
cams
fmic
etc

stage 1-4 type parts... Not a full motor build...

I pushed my ix turbo to the limit with exhaust, intake, fmic, walbro, mbc, meth kit and made 438/444... I have a typical car that's just pulled to make a little more hp than the normal.. If i had a green i would probably make around 460-470whp, for me it would be a good buy.

Cheers!

Far from typical results here^^ and a far from bolt on only car.

lan_evo_mr9: Do some research. I have only seen info on a hand full of cars with greens doing what you are looking for. Id wait and see what CBRD is going to come out with or go big turbo. 400whp on 22psi with just about any 30/35r kit. the key is TUNEING.
