Huge difference between doing a full turbo upgrade vs doing a $250 hotside upgrade. You probably need to be more specific about your goals and budget.

PS. 10.5s are not specific to the IX - 05 VIIIs have them, too.

If you get a turbo or cams your still going to need a tune, I'd say either save your money or just get an IX turbo. They can be foundfor a decent price, I'm sure theres some in the classifieds.

Eh? You shouldn't be considering a turbo upgrade without having cams yet anyway.

For $1200, you could do this:

- Stock IX (used) turbo swap
- Cams
- Reflash

That could be 50-60whp right there.

I agree with everyone else, hold off on getting the green, get a used 9 turbo AND cams AND a tune and you'll see very nice gains. Down the road you can send in the turbo to have the Green job done to it.

You still need an evo 9 turbo. Still no ETA on finished product. It's your decision if you think it's worth the wait.

I think it will be worth the wait, but i've been waiting for a hot minute as well. Trying to learn patience.

Or get a used 9 and have it made into a green and save a few hundred.. Whether you get a green or the eagerly awaited cbrd turbo....either way you'll need to get a 9 turbo to have converted unless you want to pay twice as much for a new 9 turbo to be rebuilt. And you can run on the stock 9 until you afford the upgrades
