Converted my 3" AMS catback to the 3" RRE "stealth" set up
Well I just got back from DRT in Woodside, Queens. Ralphy and his crew took care of my exhaust system for me. We hacked up my AMS catback, and installed the 24" RRE resonator and the 3" Magnaflow muffler.
Unfortunately we didnt have enough room to install the third, 12" long resonator w/o hitting the driveshaft bearing so I had to put that aside for now. So now my exhaust set-up consists of the AMS 3" DP from their 50 Trim turbo kit, the AMS resonated TP followed by the RRE stuff afterwards.
All in all they did a great job tig welding everything and making sure everything fit right w/o rubbing or bumping into anything. The sound at idle imho is quieter than my previous AMS set-up, even with the "silencer" in place.
Driving around town was great, not too bad, I now think my sound levels are reduced to the stage where I previously was running my JIC Spartan exhaust.
As far as the tip went, I decided against putting on the stock EVO tip.... I just had them fabricate a 3", slant cut tip and weld it on. They gave me some steel wool stuff to polish up the muffler and tip a bit, but what I think I will do is break out the hi-temp black paint and spray it all black, including the tip.

Here are some of the pictures:

If its not stainless steel then paint it asap. But before painting remove any rust that might have already formed.
I think it looks good structurally, but when painted black it should look better with the yellow bumper.

My goal for doing this was to get the exhaust quiet enough as to not **** off the cops for being too "loud"
Once I find free time to paint the muffler and piping with hi-temp flat black BBQ paint from Home Depot it should be even better.

I would paint the tip as well. Judging by that photo chop, it looks like there is nothing there then BAM a tip out from middle of no-where. lol
I think the look he posted looks better than having the man flashing his lights in your rear view mirror & blasting on his loud speaker @ you telling you to pull over....then again, that's IMO
Then again, this pothetic look

yeilds 415whp/380tq on a dj using 91 octane has allowed the man drive by me without giving me a ticket to help pay for the upcoming police mans ball.
to each his / her own. Power on.

FYI guys, I'll be painting the tip this weekend and applying a second coat of hi-temp black paint to the muffler and the rear piping. If I have paint leftover I also will paint the b-pipe.
