I literally just started having problems with my tranny too, won't go into 1st no matter how hard I try. I did a pull through 3rd gear and then was driving around for awhile. When I finally came to a stop I noticed it wouldn't go into first.

Sure hope I don't need a new tranny. Previous owner claims the tranny in the car is a ShepRacing tranny.

I was referring to the OP. However, all of the problems described here sound clutch related.

Even mine? How would it be clutch? My only guess is it isn't fully engaging so it won't go into gear. I recently adjusted my clutch because it was engaging so close to the floor, should I bring it out further?

So I enlisted the help of my brother who knows a lot more than I do when it comes to cars. We took out the battery and looked at the linkage and what not and couldn't figure it out. So my brother just went from 2nd and tried to go into 1st a bunch of times and it finally went in, seems to be working fine now. I hope the problem doesn't come back.
