Coolant Leak

I was driving around today kind of pushing my car but nothing to crazy. I noticed that my car was running very hot all of a sudden, so i pulled over and turned her off. As soon as i did that i noticed a lot of smoke coming from the hood vent. i popped the hood and even more came out. i could see green coolant all over the inside of the motor. it was all over the hood and even pooling on the intake manifold. i check all the visible lines i could and i cant find the leak. the lines running into the firewall are all good and looking for a good 20 minutes found nothing. i havent started the car since then and i had my car towed back to my house. any ideas where to start?

Just popped off my radiator cap and it looks bone dry! Did pressure build until finally a hose popped off or at least vented pressure? I tugged on all the hoses I could physically reach and they all seem to be still intact. (didnt check for slits yet, waiting on a friend so i can start the car and he can look for a leak.

That is pretty much it though... No real diagnostic... more of a visual thing if you have a leak like that... Get a car manual and check over the whole system visually...

Found it and fixed it. About a 2" slice on a line leading from the block to my throttle body. Wasn't rubbing on anything, so no clue how it happened, but its fixed!
