Nice, a good question is, how much more power does the GT850R make over the HTA 35R and is it enough to offset the additional lag?

We know from Pete's car the HTA35R is good for 747awhp...Now i want to see what the 850R will max out at.

I hope David gets this new turbo real soon so we can get some real testing...

I agree with you 100% however Pete's car could have been a fluke, it was cold out that day. Your talking about the car in Al's vid right bro?

Interesting, do you know what psi he was at? They only mention 30psi when making 6 and change.

Buschur Racing Sport Compact Shootout
5/25/2008
AWD Class Finals

SloRice vs. PlayerZ
HTA35R vs. GT850R
Nexan street tires vs. Hoosier Quick Time DOT's
Both full weight street cars

10.053@145.20 vs. 9.982@147.84

That's a .071 second and 2.5 MPH difference between the two with one having a pretty major tire advantage.

At the end of the day, these turbos are probably pretty much identical.
I don’t think that I ran a 9 in the last pass. But I had just got the car back from AMS two days before the shootout. I would not base this turbo on my first few passes on a totally new setup my first time at the track. I had just 3 miles on the car before the race. I know there is a lot left in in the car. I also lifted every pass.

I do believe that the 10.053 was Trent driving your car. That guy is a beast! Just give me some time and I’ll try to show what this turbo can do.

I can’t tell you how this turbo compares to the HTA 35R but I had a 37R on my car before the 850R and there is a HUGE difference!! It spools faster and pulls SO hard up top.
