I have no input on the turbo that AMS is calling the GT850R, no idea what it is, yet, and I haven't tested one.

I do know the results of the HTA35r though and they have been nothing short of outstanding.

I've built atleast 10 EVO's now that have made over 500 whp on straight 93 octane on the HTA35r. 3 of those have run at the track and ran 10.8's or better at over 135 mph. My personal car has gone 10.0 at 142 mph on straight 93 octane. The 3 cars I mentioned above have also all gone well over 140 mph on race gas and ran between 10.0 and 10.6 on normal all season radials. My personal car has gone 9.42 at 155 mph on the HTA.

I have not found another turbo in the GT35r range that can touch the low/midrange power of the HTA35r which makes things nice on a street car where a 35r can be on the laggy side as it is.

I plan to continue to push my HTA35r and go even quicker/faster than I have.

The 3 customers I referred to above are all in the process of getting better tires and are all on the quest to hit 9's this year.

Not sure this is going to help you make a decision or not. I can only provide facts that I have.

Good luck.

I would like to see the specs on the GT850R. How can anyone buy something without even knowing anything about it? How does anyone know if it compares to a Green, 35, 37 or a 42? What is the compressor wheel? What flow is it? 55,60,65,70? Nothing is known, yet it's getting compared to the HTA35R that's been tried and tested with multiple posts concerning it's specs. The jury is still out on the GT850R and should stay out until more information is known.

sharkbite, I am surprised that after the experiences you had with the "badbish" that you aren't going to run an HTA35r.

I;m in the same boat as you, i want more info on the gt850 or the 6262 and 6265 they all sold out and no one can tell me if they are better then gt35 or not and whats the spool on these turbos. All i know that by looking at the ams dyno the turbo gt850 will make more power then gt35 and almost same spool but makes same or even little better power then gt37 but the other 2 new turbo 6262 and 6265 no info on them at all to prove antyhing and they are both sold out and waiting list on them. I might just get the gt850

I in NO way mean any offense at all, but where have you been?!?! The HTA is talked about in probably 8/10 posts about turbos on this board. Its everywhere, ETS, BR, AMS, pretty much anybody who makes a turbo kit for EVO's sell this turbo, and the dyno results, flow charts, time slips, hell videos of dyno pulls and quartermiles are everywhere.
