HELP: how is your OEM W/G hooked up

I have a little problem, for whatever reason my car BOV and W/G is recir this way is beyond me...I bought the car this way. I had a Greddy Type S BOV which is now replaced with a IX BOV (much smoother) Instead of the hose from the BOV run straight to the intake manifold, it's plugged into a t-section piece as follows.

and then it runs to this piece that's zip tie to the body

and then from there, it's hooked up to the waste gate

Is that how your guys are hooked up? Cause most of the pictures I have seen it's not. Most of them are like this for the bov

so can anyone explain this to me?

I tried to hook up my bov that way and the waste gate hose to the nibble on the bottom of the intake and the car cut off at 6500rpm. I tried to unplug it and run it to the t piece that's zip tie to the body and it did the same thing.

I drew a little diagrams trying to clarified how my's hook up.

so...how is it suppose to be hooked up?

thanks guys.

I'm not a pro - but you may want to look at how an installation is supposed to look with a Manual Boost Controller...that thing zip tied to the body looks like an MBC.

Maybe this will help.

yup that definitely is a boost controller. based on what i have researched before, there are 2 ways to connect an mbc one way is like that and the other way is via the turbo nipple to the mbc then to the wastegate. what i did is via the turbo nipple. which is what most would recommend.

The way that the boost/vacuum lines are routed in the first picture is fine and you can just leave it as be. In fact, don't mess with it!

I don't know, but the more I look at the pictures, the less I like the way that the previous owner did this is job. Maybe I'm mistaken, but it appears that there are various diferent I.D. hoses used. Also, the whole thing is way longer than it needs to be. What MBC is that anyway?

I really don't think it's a manual boost controller...I'll take a closer look tomorrow. I'll contact KevinD when I get back in Dallas and maybe he can solve some of the mysteries of my Evo.
