Getting the EVO ready for action!
Getting the EVO ready for action!
After getting the motor back from Class One in Freeport, IL, Devo Tuning Assembled and installed it. Devo Tuning had a couple of big builds to complete from customers that were in line before me, so I took it over to Albert at DV/DT Fab to fire up the welder. I'm having him fabricate all of the necessary parts to squeeze a Borg Warner S374 into my engine bay space challanged EVO 2. Here are some pics. He just got the parts in to finish the 4" downpipe, and the 3" lower intercooler pipe. I'll post up pics as the build progresses. It should be ready by the weekend.

At the '07 Shootout rain make-up event the Q45 Throttle body butterfly screw came loose and went into cylinder #1. It smashed 2 valves and the top of the piston. Needless to say this time around I knurled the top of the screws on the butterfly, and used red Loctite. It was strange because I never took the TB apart, but I did buy it used. Who knows what was done to it before I got my paws on it. To say it pissed me off would be an understatement. Anybody using an aftermarket TB should knurl the top of the screws on the butterfly, and use red Loctite.
