Temps of our exhaust manifolds?

I wanted to know, how hot do the exhaust manifolds get on our cars? Particularly the stock and manifolds such as Megan Racing. I want to know if spray on paint such as the DEI 1500* F color would stay on the manifold.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Probably need a hightech thermal coating such as SwainTech, etc. I've seen EGT's of 1550* F. in my Evo. You can check the surface temp of the manifold with one of those trick little point and shoot temp guns(whatever they're called?). To answer your question, I don't think that high temp spray paint will last for very long on there.

I used an auto store brand paint when i installed my turbo hotside
and primed and painted it, SOME of the paint had flaked off but that was on the hotside of the turbo which im sure gets at least as hot if not
hotter. The primer stayed intact though.

i know we are trying to compare "stock" turbo manifolds and such but on my shearer tubular manifold i will normally see 1200-1250 cruising around 75-85mph.

wide open throttle i will usually see an average of 1400-1500 degrees.

This is also really rich 11.3-11.5ish air/fuels pump alcohol. I will not talk about the race gas tune

Rich=low egt
Lean=high egt
