Ok an update: CBRD finished the car and everything seems kosher....One last thing still remains in my concerns.

The pass. side fender is still getting really hot. Not as hot as before, but enough to get my attention. This is happening even with out running the A/C.

Thanks in advance.

What did CBRD do exactly?

Heat from the side, that's kinda odd... all I can think of is exhaust getting close to metal... how modded is this thing?

we fixed a torn balance shaft belt, that occured when oil from a dipstick loss filled the side cover with oil,..

gates balance shaft belt and timing belt put on, fixed some dead dash lighting, and retuned......

car had alot of repair work done in its early existence before we ever saw it...

I take it had a lot of mods before he got it too? All I can suggest is some exhaust wrap just to see how it does. The car doesn't overheat right? Evos do push out a TON of heat though... What oil you running out of curiosity?

Only thing it ever saw was a new clutch, master cyclinder, slave cylinder, and a half *** oil pan gasket fix....nothing major....and of course the new belts and stuff you guys did....What else did you guys see that you felt the need to say that "car had alot of repair work done in its early existence before we ever saw it..."

That's true, make sure there isn't anything in front of your oil cooler that could be preventing air flow.

Oil cooler is clear how ever who knows....it could be clogged I dunno lol Im getting oil pressure......

Also we noticed aswell that the car started making a clunking noise when in low RPM's and not accelerating. 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th did it....Then stopped as soon as we got into 5th gear or anything above 3k rpm........Nothing flapping from wind....only did it when not accelerating. Didn't affect the way it drove or road down the street.....just making a noise.. clunk clunk clunk clunk. ever half a second to a second was how rapid it was......

Oh and CBRD the oil pan seal is no biggy....just someone in the past trying to fix a leak....but the other stuff you saw....what the hell is that? I didn't know about this....you didn't seem to worried about it before.......are you saying it something to worry about now? Is that why you said something??

there was obviously an issue for the oil pan to be re-sealed... they dont leak from the factory....

they are sealed with grey mitsu sealer. You mentioned to me you bought the car in a less than average state when you purchased it. It's always hard to track down all problems on a car you dont know the history of.

cheers

Its a 6 year old car....its going to leak oil around the oil pan...I would like to take a poll on who leaks oil around the pan and who doesn't.....Just because I said it was in less than average state and the oil pan gasket was redone doesn't mean you can automatically claim and assume the car has or had issues. And what I said to you was the exterior was in less than average state. I mentioned nothing of the sort about the motor and drivetrain, hense why I am a little concerned now that you claim it has had "a lot" of work done.........

I just want my car to run normally, so if you saw stuff then I should have been warned about it.....

Anyways.....anyone have an idea on the clunking?

Dante,

im not arguing with you about your car lol... youre taking it the wrong way.. all of the notes are documented on your work order and invoice...

there is generally no leakage there unless the pan has been removed, the factory sealer is amazing stuff..... yours was removed, which is generally for some sort of inspection...
