Im not arguing either homie lol, it concerns me because i feel that you feel that its a major deal, since you mentioned it, and it wasn't gone over with me like it was a concern......I have seen from experience that oil pans and trannies leak after a long time...on any car...

My question that I had when I came back on here still really wasnt answered, if someone could help me out....

Right now its the right fender and the clunking noise....

Im going out today to see if the clunking is still there, if not then Im happy, but still wondering why there even was a clunking...... Thanks in advance.

I have clunking in my front left... did you check your strut mounts? Make sure they are tight?

BTW, keep in mind tracking noises in an evo can be difficult sometimes because of them being AWD and noises can transfer between front and rear easily. Not saying that's where it is, just something to note.

Wheel bearings are pretty easy. All you have to do is take off the wheel, calipers, axle nut, replace the bearing / hub assembly and put back together.

I'll let you know what i find out tuesday. Today I took off my front bumper to replace my FMIC with a Perrin, and when I was putting it back together I noticed my splash guard on the right side wheel had been torn into (by a wheel rubbing?). So i started looking at my tire (which was rotated and balanced a week ago), and it appears the outside is VERY worn down and rounded. These are brand new yokohamas, so I think that may be a clue.

Ok I seem to have found a problem if not the problem.....I am looking at this thing and wondering why it would make noise rolling and not when I hit bumps.....could not be my specific problem, but it sure is a problem HAHA

Yellow circle is topic at hand and red arrow is where the gapping hole is

The yellow circle is the topic at hand, yellow arrow is where i think the noise is coming from....since it only makes noise while rolling and the yellow line is where the gapping hole is that spewed all my grease out of.

Everything else is tight and sealed from what I can see and I was in there for awhile looking. The only thing weird besides the hole is everything is covered in oil and grease. I lightly touched the other boots to check to see if they had grease....and they did.

Maybe you should sell your car. Seems all it does is give you big trouble.

Getting a little defensive with CBRD because they noticed your handy work on the oil pan , just seems like you gettting your panty's twisted about stuff again.

Thanks for the advice...I will keep this in mind....

Meanwhile over on the more respectful side of this thread:

the car seems to be driving a lot better.....no more noise besides the clicking in the axle.... I am still not sure what happened or what it was....Thanks again to those who helped out with troubleshooting in this thread and the other one..

Cause he got defensive, doesn't mean he should sell his car. It's frustrating when you pay as much money as we do and we get the problems we get. Somtimes you get down when all you do is work on your car. You think he can sell his car when there is clunking and heat and grinding?

All do respect, he's doing the right thing and trying to track it down.

I think I am going to pick up a set of axles to top the problem off......

I am scheduled with english racing tomorrow, i'll post here what I find.

Glad to know you aren't quitting so easily. The main reason I bought my car was to learn about it. My dad died in January and I relied on him for a lot of my car knowledge. Now I can surpass his knowledge with this more advanced car than he got to work on. I've already learned a TON.
