this is kinda laggy espically with stock cams. u put any kind of real cams in there and u will be seeing full boost at 6000rpms. the power is there, but if u ask me, this turbo acts more like a 37r then a 35r.
what does it flow?
and by me saying this, is not a dis to anyone. just want to put that out there.

He had the manifold so we decided to finish his kit and it wasnt in the budget to do the cams.. We will do a double pumper, race gas and cams soon..

We are going to put the car back on the dyno tonight when it cools down and spend a little more time tuning.. That dyno chart was done in minimal pulls.. lets see what we can come up with..
i was at the dyno and then after the tune..went for a ride around the block..and this car flat out moves.!! im not into big turbos myself but i gotta give credit where credit is due here.!! the car is insane.!! pulls like a fkn roller coaster..
mad props goes out to mike,c-will,and everyone at awdmotorsports for doing what they had to do to make this car make this power.!!

Looks like good power to me on basically stock everything. People kill themselves and spend a million dollars all over a couple hundred rpm of spool and then never notice it on the street.

Simple .63a/r back housing swap and the turbo will come in alot harder.. stay tuned for race gas mapping..
I can't believe a customer would want a 35 HTA... and since it takes too long to order, go with something untested. I mean what's the deal? Is a normal 35R crap now? Did anyone actually read the threads about the HTA. It's a nominal improvement going to HTA for 35R.
As for this new turbo, sounds like the guy is making 500 hp engine power on pump which is pretty good for stock motor, head, cams.
5500 rpm in 3rd gear for 25 psi sounds not so bad. A 35 HTA does not spool that much better. In 4th gear I think Buschur's customers hit 30 psi at like 5200 rpm if I recall. So 3rd gear you'd suspect 5500+ I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Most of the 35R HTA sheets Buschur posts are 4th gear.. but sometimes he posts 3rd gear. Big difference in the sheets in terms of where the power band is.

Thanks for posting the results as you go Mike. Keep up the great work.
Sure there are tons of other supporting mods that this customer could have gone with, but using this stock car as a test mule reduces the variables and let's us "average Joe's" know what potential can be drawn out of our street cars with these turbo set-ups.
Example--
Customer A- buys cams, runs meth, gets a custom tune, ports this and that and puts down 450hp. Has been going back and forth to the dyno the entire time. Tons of adjustments and tweaking along the way. There's no doubt that there's room to grow, but the average Joe is left in the dark on the exact path to duplicate the hp#.
Customer B- Uses an average tubular header and bolts on a turbo. Everything else stock. E-mail flash. Puts down 450hp. The vendor can duplicate the results over and over and over again. Much easier path to follow. Plenty of room to grow. Win-Win situation.
Looking forward to the racegas results.
