HELP! problem with my evo. new to site

ok so the other day i was driving my evo 9 and i noticed that when i give it full throttle the rpm shoot up and then go back down a little then continue to go like normal, i cant seem to figure out the problem. can someone please give me some suggestions on what could be the possible problem.

As soon as I read it.. Clutch. It's probably slipping. If you are on the stock clutch, it's time to get a new one anyways as they suck really bad!

cluuuuutch. we see these threads everyday. and we have all experienced a slipping clutch.

ACT Street is a good replacement

What? Its things like that that give the Evo a bad name. Mine had 54000 miles with many (I'd bet at least 6000) track raced miles on it, it still gripped like the day I bought it. Its all driver. The stock one sucks if you're launching the **** out of your car, yeah, and if that's the case you'll need a new one.

It is almost definitely your clutch though.
