I've been using APS for a while now, it never flutters. it holds boost great, better than the metal dv I had. the car drives fanatastic.

but I still have a doubt about APS, how can the A/F not getting richer if it vent partial pressure to the atom?

I imagine that the only time it vents to atm is when you take your foot off the pedal which also causes the injectors to turn off.

Is this a BOV or DV?

I don't think people understand that the APS, never VTA's 100%. NEVER!!!! It's always recirculating 50% or more air into the intake.

As you can see, part boost it'll vent 100% back into the intake. Depending on how tight you have it set it may vent 25% VTA and 75% to the intake. But it'll never vent 100% VTA. I have abosolutly ZERO flutter or surge issues. On occasion it will cause the car to buck feathering off at part throttle, but it's very rare, and not violent. Passangers never notice. My stock plastic VIII BOV bucked and had more driveability issues than the APS. I have no experience with the IX BOV, though. I have zero regrest getting this BOV. Number one, because it was free (from a friend). Two, it holds boost very well. I'm not all that fond of the sound, though. Just a boring "PSSHH" but whatever. It works, and I'm happy with it.

I'm thinking about going with the Synapse one..it seems pretty solid and a lot of people like it.

I sold my APS valve and bought the Perrin. It holds more boost, doesn't leak, is fully adjustable, recirculates, and doesnt have partial throttle issues with fluttering. I reccommend going with Perrin.

GFB Stealth FX!
vent/recirc adjustable and spring tension adjustable

but yes, the stock metal DV is the best...which means the tomei one would be great also.
i hear good things about forge, but i havent personally used it.

thanks for the response.

I didn't know that the tightness of the screw has anything to do with the amt of air vent to atom... can anyone confirm?

Im looking for some clear cut answers so just let me confirm.

My biggest issue right now with my current bov is part throttle flutter, I hate it and its annoying especially going up with mountains and having to go on and off the throttle or go part throttle and have the car buck.

Im either looking at APS, JDM MR bov, or the synaptic bov. Which of those is the best for combating part throttle part boost flutter but will still hold a decent amount of boost.
