Basically to cut i along story short, in not living in the US, im living and working in Qatar in the middle east. Last month has been hell for me trying to get my car registered, i just resprayed the whole car and done a bunch of other stuff.
But now everything is sorted i've been told by the police (who are being dicks) that my car is too loud, and i need to make it less noisy, even though there is no db limit, just there judgement.... or they will impound it.
So i have a blitz exhaust system, with the silencer in..... and i need to reduce the noise? But i'm pretty stuck for idea's.
If i have to leave a stock exhaust on i'm seriously thinking about selling it, and if i get caught then i will loose it anyway.... there's a tonne of other cars on the road louder than mine, i'm just being singled out, and REALLY don't want to say bye to my evo

 

get a resonator or 2

 

also are you running a test pipe? if so throw a cat on. and if they impound it you can fight it. bring up harleys and trucks with exhausts on it. i had that problem while i was in hawaii and thats what i said to the judge. the case was dropped.

 

I had the same issue. So i bought a br muffler to finish it off. I am running a resonated test pipe with two bullets before the muffler. So essentially I have 4 muffling devices. However it still flows straight through. It is super quiet. It has a deepness too it but thats it.

get at least two resonators welded in and get a stock looking muffler (i.e. magnaflow with no tip or vibrant stealth)

 

With all the problems out there I'm really surprised they give a crap about something like that. Anyway, get back the oem exhaust and buy a cutout from QTP. Open it up when you want to be load close it when you don't.

Your issue is probably because you are an outsider. I have personally been to qatar and I have been downtown...you know by that big pearl a few miles from the palace...I saw some guy in a ferreri 360 gunning it with an exhaust that sounded like an opened headered chevelle.

 

Apexi NOIR, pretty much the most quiet exhaust there is for an evo, you will take a small power hit though.
