Question Car suddenly will not build boost at a stop

Car still builds boost fine otherwise and holds it very well to redline, but from a stop, it will not build any boost anymore. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

do you mean it wont build boost while you're on the two step...?

I'm sorry. That is correct. The car seems to be boosting perfectly fine except on two step.

No I have not. Nothing has changed on the car for a little bit. A new turbo will be going in soon but I am baffled at this.

are you holding the 2-step long enough for it to build boost?

boost leak test done with air compressor?

I am holding it long enough to build boost. I haven't done a boost leak test yet but I would think I would see a bad taper at redline if that was the case. It holds strong at 23 lbs.

I would tend to agree. IMO, if there was a boost leak it would be evident all the time, not just on launch control.

Who is the current tuner of your car? When is the last time you can remember boosting on the two-step?

watching a boost gauge won't guarantee you don't have a boost leak. The turbo will simply overspin to compensate, whereas during the 2-step the turbo will not.

It's just a hunch...because it doesn't make sense if the tune wasn't changed and the turbo doesn't seem to be damaged.

I will check for a boost leak. I currently tune my car myself. Honestly it has probably been a month or so since I last tried and everything worked fine. Since then I have made no modifications.

Are you at 100% WOT on the 2 step for at least 3 seconds? I doubt this is a problem with the car, more likely a problem in your head. <(Don't mean that as an insult)

I have launched my car many times as well as do all my own modifications and my own tune. I can tell when something isn't right. I don't mean that as an insult. Mixing a couple gallons of 110 with 93 wouldn't cause this would it?

nah, seems unlikely that the octane change would cause it. I went from 93 to c16 and didn't notice anything.
