hi all,
I would like to know what's the response on evo 9 after fixing exhaust manifold, o2 housing(turbo outlet) and wastegate.
The external wastegate came out from o2 housing and a dump pipe was installed to the wastegate.

Boost running 1.4bar. Using ecutek.

Before this setup, i kinda feel that the beginning response is much more responsive than the setup up now. Power is more on high rev. Issit normal or anything wrong with my setup?Pls advise...

By beginning response Im guessing you mean turbo spooling....?

What turbo is it?

 

I am trying to visualize what you are describing. Do you have an external gate welded onto an OEM or afternarket O2 housing? Do you have any pictures of this particular setup?

yeah turbo spooling...when on low rpm...

not oem o2..i have changed a custom made o2 housing in which my external wastegate is connected to the o2 housing

as my exhaust manifold does not design to install wastegate..
i'm using borla exhaust manifold...

 

is original evo IX turbo...

u need to describe ur setup better...this is what im getting out of what ur saying...

--u have an external dump o2 housing and a borla manifold and spool up is a little slow?...

--ur manifold might be the reason ur spool up is a little slower but peak power should be a lot better...so yes, ur setup is normal!!!
