Problems shifting from 3rd to 4th?

I've been having issues with the 3-4 shift when shifting close to redline. I have an ACT HD Clutch and flywheel. Is there a known issue with this setup on the 3-4 shift, or am I just goofing up the shift. I powershifted 3-4 at the track and had no problems, but since then I've missed like 3 or 4 shifts on the street.

I had the same problem, same clutch, the clutch disk hub was rubbing on the pressure plate causing it to never fully release. sometimes I would miss 2nd but always miss 4th and if I was high rpm shifting into 5th same thing. Destroyed my trans, had to get 2-5 gears replaced all syncros and collars.

I had the act 6 puck, I had similiar problems so I adjusted the clutch pedal all the way up and it was shfting pretty good after that. You can try that, it won't hurt. If you don't know how to, there is a really good how-to on EVOMOTO.COM

Prolly worked for you because you have a different disk, then him or myself.
Adjusting mine did not fix my problem. In my case part of the clutch disk that was never supposed to touch any part of the pressure plate or flywheel was rubbing against the press plate fingers. Not cool.

So you guys are saying that ACT is garbage as long as it concerns it application for the EVO????

I was thinking of upgrading to an ACT street clutch.

I had 3-4 lockout at high rpm sometimes and I remedied this completely with buschur underhood shifter bushing

make sure your clutch rod is adjusted properly

the act hdss clutch is not junk

My trans disagrees.

It seems that act hdss is hit or miss, a lot of evo owners have had issues with this clutch, myself with my evo, and my subaru.
