O2 Simulator??

I am running a test pipe on my car and I have the spark plug antifoulers on my o2 sensor to keep from getting a CEL. However, at some point, my o2 sensor seems to have gotten broken. The metal housing has cracked and now I have a CEL all the time and the code is something about the rear o2 sensor. So my question is...is there something I can get to just eliminate the sensor altogether i.e. one of these o2 simulators, or do I have to replace the sensor first. I have searched on these simulators, but I am kinda unclear as to whether it will bypass my sensor altogether or does it work with a good sensor to not give me a CEL. Basically I dont really want to spend all the money for a new o2 sensor if I dont have to. Also, where do these simulators wire into, and how hard is the install? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

they have ones that wire into the rear O2 plug. I used to use one and it worked fine. Or you can look in the ecuflash forum, theres some solutions in there

Well, my CEL is not due to my not having a cat I think. Its due to the fact that the O2 sensor is broken. I didnt know if an O2 simulator would allow me to not have to buy a new O2 sensor. Before it was broken, I was getting away with just the spark plug antifoulers.

Yes you could use the simulator and not have to get a new o2 sensor.

I use a simulator. It cuts out the o2 sensor from the o2 sensor signal loop.
You can remove the sensor all together and just use the simulator but you'll also have to simulate the o2 sensor heater circuit (by wiring in a resistor usually).

I have my o2 sensor still plugged into the wiring harness to keep the heater circuit okay (didn't want to wire in a resistor).
