? about installing BR ported intake manfold and 65mm t-body?

I am about to do this in a few days and was wondering is it necessary to reuse the stock metal intake manifold bracket, or can I just delete it all together???

I remember when i had my 95 Integra B18C1, I deleted the stock intake manifold bracket when I switched to the Skunk2 Type-R style single runner intake manifold. I wonder if this would be ok on the EVO?

In addition, I will be installing a "Hondata" style intake manifold phenolic spacer....

can someone tell me for sure if I will or will not need longer studs? If so where do I get them from?

I'm open to comments or any disagreements anyone may have, I only want whats best for my car

You can delete the bracket for sure. No problem. Depending on how thick the gasket is you can probably get by with the stock bolts/studs.

Good luck.

You might want to do a search on that hondata gasket. I recall reading on here years ago a complication with installing it on an Evo.

The hondata gaskets are known to melt and deform on the Evo. Good luck...

This is the one Lucas English uses in his big power stock turbo Evo. No issues AFAIK.

Different strokes, different folks... Basically, one is Forced Induction (Read, hotter air, hotter motor, hotter crap), one is not...

Search and read... Hell, PM Lucas and ask for his input, experience, knowledge, etc on the issue...

Think about this guys, its pretty common sense that your head is typically hotter in a Forced Induction vehicle than an N/A vehicle. Do as you wish, but after installing my ported intake manifold, I don't think I'd want to be doing that again over a plastic spacer that deformed.
