How much is the slave actually pushing the fork? Have someone else push the clutch and get a measurement, someone here can check it against theirs and make sure that is right...

Plus there is the possibility of air in the clutch's hyd system. Try bleeding it

I didn't bleed anything the first time round. Check for leaks around the master cylinder and like other said, the slave should be able to move

When I had the issue, i could run through gears in neutral and w/ the car off. Once the car was off, it would lock out of gears. No if's or buts. Not sure what else it could be. Unless you have a good amount of air in the system.

ok, i checked the install so far

the TOB is deff in an moves just as it should, i bled the system to see if it would help, and adjusted the clutch pedal all the way out (you cant see any threads at all on the adjustment). the clutch fork moves around one inch, and i added a spacer to the between the slave cylinder rod and the clutch fork to effectively extend the slave cylinder rod.

now the car will go into gear with the engine on but the clutch is still dragging (the car is in the air)

with the transmission in first and the clutch all the way in the tires still rotate.

anyone have any ideas?

No more ideas from me right now, sounds like there is a possibility of a clearance issue in the clutch itself?

I had the same thing, but mine was the clip on the pressure plate was knocked off when installing the transmission.

I wish you the best as it sucked to think I was going to have to do it all over.

That is the same clip...it was a b**tch. I did it myself, so imagine ...my traps were very impressive after the 24hour clutch install w/ no sleep. haha

tempting

i think im gonna try to shim the pivot ball when the transmission is out, that should buy me some more clearance at the clutch fork.

ive also been told that it may be a bent disc, i REALLY dont think this is it cause i was extremely carefull when installing the transmission ( i installed the transmission while the engine was out of the car which made it easier). if i did bend a disk it would have to be made out of butter

i ordered a rebuild kit anyway just in case i need it, luckily i found someone that had it in stock, last one they had too

i just hope i can get this fixed relativly soon, im goning though some serious evo withdrawl and i get pissed when i see it in the garage not being used

Sometimes they will rotate if in the air. Even bikes do that. What about on the ground, can you still put it in gear with the engine running?
