name that connector! lol

hi guys, sold my 8 about a year ago, bought an elise, sold that to open my restaurant and now im to a 9.... haha. so its a theft recovery, and the thieves cut everything when they took it, i think ive got all the wiring repaired other than the connector pictured below, not sure what it is, or what it goes to, i am pretty sure however that its not supposed to have those two wires sticking out of it exposed, all the pictures below are of the same connector, just from different angles to make its location more evident. any help at all would be greatly appreciated. on a side note, the fogs for the jdm mr headlights are the center most part of the lamp correct? then high beams in the center? lastly anyway to tell wheather an ecu is from an evo 8 or 9? something in the string of chars on the top? thanks again -al

Maybe during taking your intake, they realized that it unplugs after starting to cut it.

Maf harness. Most likely previous owner had a MAF-T system OR had a stand alone at some point.

ok great, so my next course of action would be to what?a) try to figure out where in the harness these two wires go, and extended them just by soldering on some extra wire of the same gauge, or b) look for a used harness somewhere? thanks for the help!

theres usually harness's cheap on the used market place. could be your best bet seeing they usually come off a running car.

That car was running an AEM EMS on it. Those two wires were connected to an AIT sensor for the AEM. Take the tape off that wire bundle and you should find those two wires cut further down. Connect them back up and it should be good to go.

8 ECU has 4 plugs, 9 has three plugs.
