SparkTech Fixed my Misfire on stock ECU

So as many of you know I make 506whp and run 10.9@126 on my stock IX turbo with stock ECU,ignition full weight SSL.(3450 with me)

For my car to handle the 33psi spikes I had to run a .019-020 plug gap. If i ran Iridium plugs I would get about 1500-2000mi before I would start having misfire problems. Copper plugs would go about 500mi.

So I installed the SparkTech PRO 12 M&W CDI system on my stock ECU car last Friday and it did more for my car then I ever thought it would.

I was amazed the car went from a extreme breaking up to smooth as can be on the same copper plugs. I ran the car at the track that same night. Car ran the same times but on the what were bad plugs. I will start playing with bigger gaps next week to see what that does.

Install of this Ignition was cake. Just hooked up the pos and neg to the bat and the rest was plug and play with the factory wiring harness and I made no changes in the tune.

I'm wondering myself too. I used copper plugs on my 2000 Turbo Si and I would go about 6k before I would start to misfire. Oh and before the blow tourch gets set on my butt. The civic was daily driven 650whp I'm not sure how that translates from Honda to DSM but it should be the same I was running a 35r and mild motor build

it says under his user name he has a 04 ssl he might have upgraded to a IX turbo for his 8 that is why he is using coper plugs with his evo VIII head and not a IX

Does the car stumble or misfire at all at during daily driving?

If you didn't know you installed the COP, would you be able to tell its there(aside from not breaking up at high boost)

Well the car feels totally stock but with no top end miss. I have put about 150mi on the car so far with the pro12. I will report back in a few weeks if I notice anything different.
