Rear diff question

I was shining up my exhaust today, and noticed that there are two threaded holes in the rear differential. I never noticed this before I guess, but am just wondering what this is for...It's of course not causing any problems, but I am curious. Thanks for any input from anyone.

I think I still have the mustache bar, if that's it at the very top of the picture. I haven't taken anything off under there and got my car stock. Anybody have any ideas? Maybe somebody can look on their car?

it's not missing anything, a lot of times mitsu uses same parts for other cars, may of been for a bracket on a different vehicle but the Evo doesn't utilize those bolt holes

Thanks for that Ak47po.

It did look that way 1BAMF. Thanks for your responses.

Fimotorsports, I'm going to go with that. This makes sense because I've never removed anything there. Thanks man!
