1.5 Bar

what do I need to run 1.5 bar safetly? I already have HKS FCON and VPC for fine tuning. should an uprated fuel pump and injectors do the trick? or will I need bolts and other things? thanks!

clarification please

I've been hearing a lot of terminology such as "bar" for turbo boost. So when you say 1.5 bar, are you meaning 15psi of boost?

BTW, what is the maximum boost of a fully upgraded Evo? Just trying to compare with my friend's boost...

Shouldn't need new injectors, but an uprated fuel pump would be helpful.

You also need a boost controller. I hear the Apexi AVC-R is decent.

PSI is given in pounds per square inch while bar is metric. 1 bar = 14.7psi.

To go from bar to psi multiply by 14.7. Thus 1.5 bar is 22.05psi of boost. To go from psi to bar simply divide by 14.7.

Hope that helps!

I already have HKS EVC IV. stock evo V injectors are 560cc, I believe, and stock fuel pump flows at 155l/hr, I think. should this be enough? I heard if I want to be safe, I should replce both? anyone?

Thumbs up hy there

My car is serviced as Claudius and Maxi in a rally team called BRC in the South of France... They told me that they use the original fuel pump at 1.9 BAR .. so the OEM fuel pump should do the job for 1.5 BAR
On a stock engine 1.3 BAR held is recommanded if you care about reliability ... If you don't you can run 1.9 BAR ..

Bye

original fuel pump for 1.9 bar?!?! that sounds crazy! I'm not doubting you. so should I uprate my bolts and internals? some suggest all I would need is an uprated pump. anyone else?

I'm hearing a lot of numbers like 1.5 bar = about 22psi, and also heard some are running 1.9 bar so what the hell, is that safely possible?

I want some real numbers on 1/4 mile times these ballers are running on 1.5 to 1.9 bar of boost.

You will need to remap the ECU to run that kind of boost(1.9), else you will see major fuel cuts. I can't imagine you could get by with stock fuel pump either. You would probably need to do some internal work as well.

Come on now. Whats with the redundancy ES? I'll say this much. A Civic hatch living around me running 2.2 bars of boost dynos in at 440 Horses and runs 9s in the 1/4 Mile; so an evo running 1.5 bars should hit the 1/4 Mile in 11s I'd estimate.

Thumbs up yes

You 'll need to remap the ECU to run 1.9 BAR ... It is on a stock engine with OEM internals but this is rally car ok ?? The fuel pump IS the OEM one ! OEM injectors too (stressed i think ! )
IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE RELIABILITY OF YOUR CAR, WITH STOCK INTERNALS 1.3 BAR HELD IS THE MAXIMUM ...
