So it happens on boost? I thought it was the sound the bov made when I release the throttle from part throttle.

Damm is there a chatroom where u guys are in? so many questions to ask.

By part throttle issues they mean by feathering OFF the throttle at part boost, the car will jerk. I have an APS duel vent BOV and it works better than the stock plastic VIII BOV. It jerks less, and sure as hell holds boost much better. And a friend gave it to me for free

The fluttering is very commen. It's typcially compressor surge meaning the BOV is preloaded to tightly. It's not responding to low boost situations. Not a HUGE deal, as long as it doesn't do it at full boost, or ALL the time.

In my opinion, if you're going to go aftermarket BOV on the stock ECU, go with an APS. Expensive, and by many peoples standards "ricey", but it works very well and holds a lot of boost. If you can, go with a stock IX BOV. Defiantly the best driveability out of any BOV you can get.

Ahhh... Now I know what fluttering means. Well it doesn't for me then... I think... Is the jerk hard? I initially thought u guys were referring to the sound the BOV makes when released at part throttle. I did find a stock metal diverter valve in the box of spare parts my seller gave me tho. Could be put to good use. Guess I should check with my tuner.

In the U.S., most guys are talking about the USDM IX turbo which does not have a magnesium compressor wheel. The JDM mag wheel turbo is infamous for not holding together at high boost levels(anything over 20 PSI).

Don't check with your tuner. Just use a screwdriver and change the aftermarket BOV out to the stock diverter valve.
