stock boost guage question?

Does anyone know, with the stock boost gauge in the MR, the numbers stop at 1.5 bar but does the needle stop sweeping at 1.5 or will it go further?

I just got tuned, and in 6th it hits right at 1.5 bar.

Also, what size is the stock gauge? I might swap it out for one that reads higher than 1.5 bar just in case.

Thanks

I can't remember for sure but I think i've seen my boost go a but past the 1.5 bar mark maybe once or twice when I was trying to adjust my EBC. I'm not sure what the stock gauges sizes are maybe 40-45 mm? It wouldn't hurt to have a boost gauge that reads higher than 1.5 bar.

haha, yea, it will go past 1.5 bar, I have pushed to about 1.7 I think, maybe more. I honestly don't really look at it, to far away. Hence why I'm getting a autometer dual colum pod.

It goes a little bit past 1.5, but it's not accurate.

It doesn't read in bar it reads in KG and 1.5 is about 21 lbs so if you're hitting 1.7 on a tune that's not abnormal as that's around 24 lbs.

Check to see what you were tuned for during spool up.

Do you own a ruler or tape measure?

+1 a lot of people think the guage reads in bar. I didn't know either until I came across a thread a while ago.
