porting on 10.5 housing
I recently got to play with a fellow evo owners 10.5 housing and thought i would show some pictures. As I started with buschur's porting job, it didn't look that bad! But I wanted it to be as smooth as if it was polished
So first pic is buschurs porting, which is very nice. The only thing that bothered me was i could feel rough edges as i run my finger through it!

So then i preceded to pull out the sanding wheels and go to work, I didn't really have that much time in it. The hardest part was to get every little grove the same! My sanding wheels come in multiple grits of sand paper as for I started with 60 and went to 120 grit. At first I didn't think it would be that smooth with 120 grit, but i think it turn out very nicely and very smooth! So on to the pics!! Enjoy

My next big project is the stock rough cast manifold. Hopefully i can get it as smooth all the way through. By the way the car si going to the dyno to see if it helps spool or power, hopefully it will help out every where!!

The hotside is actually very close to gasket matched, enough not to need a ton of work. The exhaust manifold however really needs some time invested in it. It is really a poor casting, lots of room for improvement. This is some really nice work though!
I dont think it is worth removing the hotside just to do this but if you have it off or are doing the O2 housing and have the tool available i would definitely polish it.
