TBE Exhaust...

I've been looking at the Cobb 3” TBE system because it is quieter then some others and it sounds good. What are some actual specs from this system HP/TQ wise. I’ve been looking at ETS & AMS and wanted to find out if anyone has seen any hard numbers between the Cobb system and an ETS/AMS system. From what I can gather is the Cobb won’t have the power gains of an ETS system of course, but what type of loss are we looking at 2hp, 10hp, etc.. Anyone seen anything and if I missed a thread on this subject let me know.

They are all very close, as long as it is 3" all the way back. If it doesn't neck down anywhere, then go with what sounds good to you.

Cat-less Buschur with the Magnaflow is what I run and I get compliments from a lot of Evo guys on the way it sounds.

A 3 inch exhaust is a 3 inch exhaust. Unless its titanium. Then its going to be more. Just the get the ebay/Jun BL/greddy ti-c. All are cheap and do the same amount of hp. Your not going to see much difference between exhaust systems in hp/tq numbers.

I have the Cobb exhaust and its excellent its not to loud but at WOT you can hear it. NIce deep tone to. You should go with a test pipe instead of the HFC

I appreciate everyone's input. I'm more concerned with the sound and I really like the sound of the cobb exhaust the most so I'm going to lean that way.

A tune is what is going to bring out the power from the exhaust. Buschur Racing has an exhaust where you can choose your muffler and get a cat or test pipe depending on how loud you want it.

The Cobb does have an awesome sound to it when you open her up; however, it is very quiet when cruising. It also doesn't attract unwanted attention from the police. I purchased mine from one of the Vendors on this Site & just love it. I'm still waiting to put on a Milspec 100 cell HF cat before I get dyno tuned, so no numbers yet sorry.

Regards Steve
