HKS bolts on to the stock cat, however downpipe is 2.65" (or 2.75")

the rmr will flow better..... it is bigger so it flows more...
the rmr is also up to 340 now because they raised their prices... alot better choice that the HKS....

WAS UP GO WITH THE HKS DP. WORKS GREAT AND YOU CAN FELL THE DIFFERENTS. I HAVE THE HKS DP WITH THE HKS CARBON FIBER TI EXHUST AND IT'S GREAT. MY NEXT MOD IS AEM EMS WITH THE HKS EVO PRO. GO WITH HKS YOU CAN GO WRONG. MY 2 CENTS

Do not post in all CAPS.

you people that supposedly loose power going to 3 inch dp.. what are you tuning it with...... EVERY turbo car i have EVER done ALWAYS made more power running a bigger downpipe or just open downpipe. im willing to be the stock ecu is freakin out by the increased spool.

with the rmr you gain 21 whp...... proven on TTZ awd dyno... so i don't know how people are losing power... and that is untunned

It may be 21 peak horsepower but the truth is all in the curves of the dyno graphs. Many say that while larger diameter piping may net higher peak hp gains, you may also lose some of your low-end power and torque (assuming you're not running a bigger turbo or something).

dynoflash fixed that problem... and you don't need a bigger turbo yet... this turbo is capable of 11's.....

If you keep the stock CAT what is the purpose of having a DP larger than the opening of the catalyst? Wouldn't the Buschur 2.5" do just as good a job if not better than the HKS?

your turbo will still spool up quicker with a 3" Dp and stock cat back.... I have upgraded to high flow cat and cat back also from rmr.... I personally like it better and also have a 3in from the turbo.. the hke is 2.75... so you decide.... and bushur's is just too many damm peices and only 2 1/2

Alright... All I have is a 3" RMR DP, 3" Ultimate Racing Test Pipe, 3" RMR Cat-back, RMR Intake only, and DynoFlash. The car ran a 13.5 @ 102 Bone stock. I've raced LS1 6speed when I was stock; off the line and On a roll-on and I've lost both times. The other night after i got all my parts on, I got up with a 6speed WS6 TA and he waited for me to do a roll-on. From what I could tell, all I saw was a Borla Exhaust. He dropped his hand and from a 20mph 2nd gear roll, I pulled on him in 3rd gear by about a car and we finished all of 4th and I was up by about 2 cars. We went off the line and I jumped like about 3 cars out of the hole and he shut down right away.

Another encounter was last night, a LS1 convertable auto Vette rolled up to me on the highway. All I know is that he couldn't shake me when we took off. I think I actually started to pull on him in the mid of 5th, but he might have just been letting off. We got off at an exit and he told me my car was pretty quick. I wasn't expecting to even be able to keep up with him.

Low end torque nor high RPM seems to be a problem with me and I'm running 3" all the way off the turbo, except the O2 housing.

BTW if you're going to keep you cat... RMR makes an awesome one. http://www.i-m-racing.com/sormrhiflcae.html

RMR all the way.

I just installed a HKS downpipe with the Espelir JGT500 Catback. I have not noticed any decrease in my spool time, and the butt dyno is very pleased. Feels like the car has more breathing room across the powerband.

Both are great products in this poll (even if its an old poll). I can readily recommend the HKS downpipe however...the peice is a work of art
