Meth kit install/advice

Wanted to know how others have installed their meth/alky kits. Trying to see everything I need to order, where to mount the resevoir and everything associated with it so I know whatelse I need befoe my install. I have the snow performance 2 kit and I will be getting the safe injection and wastegate solanoid.

Any input would be nice.

This is a nice easy option for an 03. You can find them here used once in awhile for cheap. I have one on my 03. Install was about as easy as it gets.

Or look here for install ideas for your kit.

Anyone have the resevoir mounted in the rear? If so did you have to upgrade your solanoids?

I have the Labonte Motorsports kit. I believe it is nearly identical to the Snow Performance. I installed my pump and resevoir in the trunk. Everything worked out fine. I DID end up putting an in-line solenoid just to make sure I had enough pressure.

There is nothing wrong with the snow performance kit. I have done hand fulls of installs and they come out nice and clean. There are quite a few ways to run the lines etc. You can get pretty fancy in terms of mounting the pump and tank.

Here is one of my installs:https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=333563

This should be plenty of help. Feel free to P.M me with any questions.

The aquamist kit is a great kit. It is EXTREMELY detailed as well and will take some time if you are doing the install yourself for the first time.

The advantage of the aquamist kit is that it comes with its own gauge that runs the whole system. The gauge shows flow pressure and everything gets calibrated from that gauge. Aquamist also comes with a flow sensor/pressure sensor that is inline with the pump and tank to wherever you tap for injector placement.

Aquamist has its own brain and can be setup to run off of injector pulse or maf.

To be honest, i have more demands on AEM kits than any other alcohol kit on the market.

I bought the Snow Kit for a bargain a few months back and I've heard good things about it.

hang out in the alcohol section in the tuning forums for awhile. There are some very good threads about all the kits, how to install them, pics included.

I'm very happy with my AEM meth kit. I have the tank mounted in the trunk on the left side, where there is a piece that pops out of the trunk lining - opposite the wiper fluid tank... the pump, however, I got lazy and just screwed it into the left side of the trunk floor (no carpet in my trunk)...

Meth kit controller is velcro'd into my glovebox. I drilled a hole in my steering column boost gauge pod where the LED light is mounted. This way I can see boost and the LED (meth flowing after 5psi) light simultaneously...

Is there a meth kit that's made specifically for use with the rear windshield washer fluid reservoir or do people just modify kits to work with it?

To my understanding they modify it and if you have an 03 with the stock intercooler sprayer, they use that too.
