Time to buy an intercooler?

What power range is the stock intercooler going to need replaced?

I think im about at that time well according to tuner..

i was at the dyno and it seemed power didn't change much from 21psi to 24psi..

initial run was 345hp 302tq
last run was 361hp 340tq dynojet

only thing in the runs different was the first run with green and cams.. cams weren't tuned yet by other tuner

new tune was the last run after tuning cams and other various things

He said according to his software that the cfm's didn't change much from one run to the other... ( both tuners that were there said intercooler is holding me back from making 25+ more hp..)

full details (fp green , cosworth cams, 780 cc, full exhaust / o2, apexi filter)

temps were over 100 degrees and difference in runs were 1 - 10... which I think car was pretty heatsoaked,, but damn i can feel that torque gains..

i'm super impressed, but wish i was more prepared i.e. intercoooler

An intercooler upgrade is way past due, it would have benefited you with the stock turbo much less the green. My suggestion is the ETS 3.5inch It can be purchased at a very good price, will suite your setup very well, and you should not outgrow it.

Well I know on my car which is a 08 the stock chiller was only good up to about 380-400 but it will heat soak alot. Concidering you live in the south where it is hot more often then in NY i would have purchased a IC well before I changed the turbo. I have a buddy that has similar setup as i do but he has a Perrin IC and GSC S1's and he made close to 400whp on c16 stock evo 8 turbo. I on the other hand have stock IC and HKS 272's and I made 355 whp on c16 evo 8 turbo

I'd just upgrade the LICP at your power level, it certainly wont hurt to upgrade the IC though if you have the $$$ for it. Check out the ETS LICP kit. That's most likely going to be my next mod.
