Idle

Hey guys,

My idle has been doing this forever, but I just want to know if its normal and/or how you can fix it. It has subtle pops when idling. I had just got my exhaust, and since the exhaust note is noticeably louder and deeper, so are the pops. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Idle problems are fun...mine still almost stalls everytime I come to a stop. Hopefully yours is an easy fix. Been to mitsu three times and reflashed twice and still cant find the problem.

Hey guys,

I recorded my idle so you guys can hear it.

http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y26...t=MOV08088.flv
(Once the YouTube one is approved I will put it up on here as well)

I've noticed that you cant really hear the popping noise on my laptop, so I'm thinking its best to listen to this video with a stereo speaker system than a mono speaker system.

The beginning of the video is where most of the popping is at. At about 0:39-0:37 on the Photobucket link (0:11-:13 on YouTube), you can hear the bass of the popping, one after the other. After that they're not to close together. Towards the end of the movie, fan goes on so you cant hear the popping anymore. I have an Agency Power exhaust by the way, thats why the exhaust note is different.

Your guys' input is greatly appreciated.

that could be a small boost leak or the BOV ur running. Try deceling for at least a second or 2 before pushing the clutch in when stopping or slowing down. Im running the stock ecu and MAF and i have a hks ssq thats not recirculated. mine never stalls or misses a beat as long as i decel before i stop.

800-900 when warm.. Sometimes it'll jump up close to 1k if not 1k. 1.5k cold start.
