I have a spec stage 2 in my car. I had it on the dyno back in April and did 280/270 on a mustang dyno and it holds fine.

That was at 18 psi falling to 13. I found a huge leak and added a couple more go fast parts and more boost and it still holds strong.

Only 2 complaints with it, it is very noisy like a twin disk and it has a very on/off like engagement. It can be a little ****ty in Boston traffic. Other then that it holds what my car makes fine.

The member by the user name "drifto" is located only 20 min from SPEC, and has been working closely with them to tweak their EVO clutches. It may be worth sending him a PM for guidance.

I have a spec stage 2 on my mustang and it is a good clutch. It does have an on off engagement but its still very driveable. Its just annoying in stop and go traffic. I have also driven a customers 3000gt vr4 with a spec clutch and it was pretty much the same feel. Spec is very popular with the domestic market (mustang scene).

I will be using there new twin...or possibly their mini twin...used spec clutches before and have always been great products. I expect the same from their new push style evo clutch.

I currently have the super twin they offer for the Evo and it is light years ahead of the SPEC mini twin in regards to driveability. It's much, much, much quieter! It does still exhibit an annoying sound when leaving from a dead stop, but all the clutch-in rattle and decel resonance are gone. Doesn't sound like a bunch of rocks in the tranny anymore. I will say that is does not shift as fast or easy as the mini twin did, but hell it's almost twice the weight. My mini twin came in around 19lbs including flywheel and the super twin is 31ish w/ flywheel. Modulation is also excelent for a clutch of this style. The min twin IS a light switch in comparison.
