*ams Product Release* Evo Viii/ix Jdm Bumper Catback Exhuast!

FINALLY!

We are finally able to release our already very well known catback in a form that is now friendly for everyone that has a JDM rear bumper on their EVO VIII or IX. The system was made to the same standards as our USDM version but with a little JDM Flair to not only clear the bumper correctly but to give a little JDM style from a USDM company.

The system is a little more than our current system due to the extra labor costs but the result is AWESOME!

Q: "But I already have an AMS Exhaust, does this mean I have to buy a whole new system if I wan't to run a SWEET JDM Bumper"

A: HELL NO! We have you covered! If you currently own a Version 2 AMS Exhaust ( one that is no more then 2 years old) They you can send in your axle back section and we will modify it for $180.00 plus shipping

Click here to pick up your own AMS JDM Bumper Friendly Exhaust!

ON WITH THE PICS!

I have a full turboback AMS exaust, but it is more than 2 years old. If it cant be modded, will the new axleback even bolt up to it?

no as the midpipe and axle back is different in those two systems.

NICE! I currently have the HRS Garage Ti catback exhaust that has the dolphin tip. I know its an $1800 catback but still...I don't really like the sound of it.

I had a complete AMS TBE on my IX but I sold the catback since someone gave me an HKS Ti catback already cut for my new JDM rear. I miss the sound dearly of the AMS so I might throw this catback on my VIII.

Problem is I can't remember if my exhaust has been modified to fit the Garage Ti exhaust since my downpipe and test pipe are AMS. oh well if worst comes to worse I can always just buy a new test pipe as well and not have to worry about it.

that gold color is from the weld. you can buff it out with a SS wire wheel

Looks great, however 1 small critique, (which I know can be remedied with the install), I think the exhaust tip+muffler should come up and hug the cutout more.

Sorry, I did not see your post. If this ever happens again just shoot me a PM and I Will be happy to answer. The pictures are a bit deceiving as the exhaust is not really gold at all. It has some goldish hues near the weld but the can is al polished stainless steel

Well you could put this on a stock bumper car but since its designed for the shorter JDM bumper it would not stick out as far (like a greddy or HKS) and might cause you to leave some soot or stains on your bumper.
