Exedy twin install... help? Phoenix

I'm going to install a Exedy twin HD in my IX SE within a month and I was wondering how much did you guys pay for the clutch and how much for the install. Depending on how much I find the install will be I am considering doing it myself.

This is the best Ive found so far....

Exedy twin HD (MMO22HD)- 1550 (with tax)
Install- 960 ($80 an hour x 12 hours)
TOTAL= $2510

ALSO IF ANYONE IS IN THE PHOENIX AREA THAT KNOWS A LESS EXPENSIVE WAY TO DO IT LET ME KNOW.

OR if anyone in the area that knows how to do it and wants to earn some money let me know THANKS

i picked up my exedy twin for 1400, and did the install myself.

cost me $35 to rent the transmission jack

and 12 hours for this job is way to much. should be more like 6-8

that is way to much for the install, if it takes the shop 12 hours then you need to find a new shop. i would never pay more then $550-$600

I know a very capable Mitsu factory tech in Phoenix that would probably do the job for you at a reasonable cost. PM me if you're interested.

got my twin from a company on ebay - paid $1300 shipped. I went to a dealership to price install when I was in TX and they said $700 for labor.
I ended up paying about $700 here, for a total of $2K

Check with Vivid Racing and Mynes Performance.

I know a few people in Phoenix that would do it for you. But check with COVR4's people first.

12 hours for installing a new clutch for the evo is ridiculous, I wonder which shop quoted you that. And $80/hr of labor is way high to begin with in Phoenix.
Like alot others said, a shop that specialize working on evos will get it done in 6-8 hours tops.
