XEDE or HKS EVC V and Apexi SAFC2

Ok I REALLY need some assistance here in which route to go. I do not want a reflash for my ECU I have narrowed it down to either going with an XEDE or a HKS EVC for boost and a Apexi SAFC2 for fuel. First off can you control boost just as well with the XEDE as you can with the HKS EVC? Second off I am wondering which one would be easier to tune. I imagine with the simple graphical user interfaces on the HKS and the Apexi it would be easy but I have looked at the XEDE and you can purchase software for it as well to custom tune it. I plan to upgrade my Evo quite a bit with cams, exhaust, and lots of other stuff. I am just wondering which of these 2 combinations would provide a better setup for custom tuning and giving me the sort of power I want. I would appreciate any help from you guys. I am also wondering if you can up the redline at all with the XEDE? Anyone have the XEDE and want to give me their impressions. I don't plan on buying all Vishnu stuff so this is another reason I ask.

Thanks
Chris

Shiv (Vishnu) makes some very nice stuff but I haven't played much with the XEDE personally so I'll let him pick up the questions about that. I would consider an eManage over the SAFC2 simply because you gain timing control which is also very useful on the EVO. It also has some additional settings to help stabilize idle for open BOV's and whatnot.
I'd expect that rev limit has to be changed via ECU reflash. You can't get much extra (maybe 200 rpm) unless you have some headwork done, though.

Yes it would be very nice if shiv would chime in. I have emailed him a few times but he never replys.

What would you like to know? I believe the XEDE offers better tunability and flexability than any of the other options you mentioned. Of course, i'm not exactly impartial. However, I'd be surprised if anyone, having used all of the systems listed, didn't pic the plug-in EXEDE for their EVO.

Playing with S-AFC now and moving on to Xede.

Basically I am wondering which route to go... I plan on buying the Turbo back exhaust from Vishnu and I am also going to be doing cams, eventually I will get a bigger turbo kit and an upgraded intercooler and what not but I am looking for which setup will give me better tuning possibilites. Can you control the boost with the XEDE as well as you can with say an HKS EVC V? Also would there be any benefit of me purchasing the XEDE and an HKS EVC V? Im just curious but I am almost certain I will go with the XEDE.

You can control boost with Xede now. I don't know the limits but it seams like that it would be on par with the EVC V. So you can have your cake and eat it two. Ablity to tune timing and 20x20 fuel over the S-AFC 12 points over 60tps is a big driffrance. The Xede tuned right would yeld more constent and safe power then a S-AFC.

This may be a little OT, but what exactly does that mean? I consider myself pretty knowledgable, but you completly lost me...
