All-New Precision Billet 3562R!

Precision has just notified us that they are now offering a 35R with their sick new billet 62mm compressor wheel called the 3562R This is great news both for new kits and for those looking to upgrade the turbo in an existing 35R turbo kit!

Quoted from a section of the E-mail:

"We are now offering a 35R with a billet 62 compressor wheel. This is the same wheel that we put in our 6262's."

Feel free to ask any questions and I'll get any information you guys would like!

Tom

I'll find out what if any testing has been done at Precision on this combination, but there will not yet be any comparisons between other turbos as it was just released literally less than half an hour ago

Would this be a direct turbo swap if one is using your 50-58 trim super value kit?

Reporting back on the testing, the info I got from Precision is that their 6162 ball-bearing performs nearly identically to a standard Garrett 35R so they fully expect this combo to perform similarly enough to the 6262 ball-bearing that there has yet to be any testing on this specific combination.

The Precision 6262 will be a direct swap save the compressor inlet and outlet diameter being 4" and 2.5" on the S-cover instead of the 3" and 2" on the E-cover of the 50-58 turbos but this Garrett version with Precision compressor wheel will require a new oil drain (different between Garrett and Precision CHRAs) and LICP as the Precision CHRA is physically longer than the Garrett.

Pricing is $1599 at retail for the turbo only, or $3490 in a Super Value or $3890 in Equal Length turbo kit.

Here's a link to our current thread on the Precision Billet 62mm Turbochargers - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=348065

A shot of the turbo!

100 bucks less than the 35RHTA. This thing might be better than the HTA considering the power output to price ratio that PTE has done in the past!!! We will see.

doubt it and cheaper isnt always better, I think this one came out because the other one didnt do so well against the HTA.

The 6262 was tested and sent back for improvements, now this pops up, hmm I'm very interested in seeing how much better it performs.
