Ok Dave I found the pm you asked for where you knew what I was putting the cams into. I had another but can't find it. I will pm it to you. The point is that you didn't suggest anything, you didn't even give me a suggestion on turbo choice I asked about in another pm. You did say that you had a cam for dsm that acted similar. Ask yourself this, why would I want to put something no one has ever heard of in my engine? No I want what works and is proven, I told you what I had and what I wanted to do. If you at any point in time warned me or told me about them being mystery cams I would have respected your decission to keep secret and not have bought them.

Listen man, I'm not here to bash you, and if I hurt your feelings I appologize it is not my intent. I just lost an engine and I'm barely making it putting another one together. I need all the $$$ I have, its not flowing out of everywhere for me. So when someone takes my money no matter how big or small the amount for nonsense yes it angers me.

I'm a fan and really respect you and your work and wouldn't purposly bash or try to offend you for any reason. I just don't believe its right for you to do me wrong like your doing.

You know these cams will work in a dsm, but you also know I need a cam card to do it per 94awdcoupes post. You did not include it as I believed I was buying a complete cam kit. I don't care about the shipping, I just want a full refund and call it a day.

Dave thank you for answering the question about not reveling the specs on your cams. I was just trying to do some comparison shopping. But for my setup I'm going to go with the GSC S2's

Not giving out opening and closing events is one thing, but not including a centerline to degree is pretty amazing coming from someone as knowledgeable with racing parts and engine builds as David is.

On the other hand I can see where David is coming from it always amazed me that the evo community doesn’t degree camshafts when installing. I bet out of the 1,243 sets of Evo 8 camshafts we have sold here at GSC 20 people with S1 and S2 camshafts have degree'd them. Heck Paul Nelson’s 1117whp ANIMAL using our S3 camshafts weren’t even degree’d.

 

Thank you, this is all I was trying to say from the start. I would still have these cams if he gave me the info. I wish I lived close, I'd just bring the engine to him and have him secretly degree them and pick it up when done. I really just wanted to run them and since I didn't know he would make it impossible for me to do so I just wanted my money back.

it's pretty simple. if you want to degree your cams don't buy BF 272. however, i hope you are the exception and get it resolved. i if you don't get a refund, then your other option might be to spend a few extra dollars and have if run through a cam doctor service to tell you what you need to know. buschur should publish the CL specs though.

 

i ask Greg some additional info to degree the gsc2 and what a service,he told me more than i need,anyway i want to hear the engine running and didnt degree it, put the marks in 0 and went to the dyno,after 1 hour playing with the cams,ended in 0 marks again cause it was the sweet spot.i believe Buschur cams have same quality when talking about tolerances.cant say the same for brian crower.
