Forged Wastegate VS FP Wastegate

Forge EVO 9 Adjustable Wastegate Actuator VS Forced Performance 18PSI HP Wastegate Actuator

which wastegate is the better choice to go with @ the moment im running 26 psi on a stock evo 9 turbo and will be upgrading to red pretty soon. So which would be the better choice?

I have always used Forced Performances wastegates. Always worked good for me with no hassle.

I have one for sale, PM me if you need one.

i went with the fp unit, being that there are loads of the forge w/g for sale ??

The forge unit looks nice, but i prefer the oem look + the # of units for sale concerned me.

I would just try your stock IX actuator first on the Red. If it doesn't do the job, then spend your money on one of the two that you mentioned above. At 26 PSI on the relatively slow spooling Red you may not need an upgraded actuator. At any rate there isn't yet enough feedback from the scant few Red users.

Ultimately it will depend on the Red's turbine inlet pressure and the resultant seat pressure it exerts on the wastegate flapper valve, in addition to the level of wastegate preload that you like to run.

Like I said, I'd try the stock IX actuator first. But, that's just me. Of course, I have an 18 PSI FP actuator, as well as a new Forge IX actuator on the shelf in the garage, just in case.
