HELP. Wont go passed 1500rpms
Today i was driving to work and passed someone at full boost. let off the throttle, got back on and heard a loud POP. MY first guess was intercooler pipe blew off. from what i can tell, they're all still and i'm pulling 20 vacuum. Now the car won't go passed 1500 rpm without sputtering and bucking violently. I have full oil pressure and NO check engine lights. My next gues?s is ingition? I limped the car to work at 20mph and i'm stuck here. Any thoughts I'm going to have to get someone to drive me home to get my tools and before i rip into it i wanted to have a direction to go in. Any help would really bail me out here. Thanks guys.
i had the same problem when i was backing out of a driveway and hit my intercooler pipe on the ground. i thought it had pulled it off. turns out an intercooler pipe hit the MAF plug and unplugged it. but i would check that and make sure all ure clamps are still tight because the boost could be pushing the pipes apart when u cant see them
^^^if that was the issue his idle would shoot up to 2k or just idling just at of wack.. so checking the TPS wouldnt hurt at all but i dont think thats the problem, based on the info he told us.
just checked
i went outside on my lunch break. few things i forgot to mention.. the car revvs freely in neutral when there is no load on it. well atleast it did. i went out to the car, was revving it a little to make sure i didnt blow the motor, and a CEL came on and now the car is running really rich (black smoke out the tail). I don't have my laptop on me to check the CEL. hope this info may narrow things down
yea check that cel that could help out narrowing it down...i dont think its the maf because the car wouldnt idle at all it would most likely just shut off im guessing for some reason it went into a limp mode? atleast its running rich and not lean though

All the plugs are connected. TPS is connected, MAS plug is connected. i still dont have a way to pull the CEL and probably wont until its after dark (and that isn't going to be good for working on a car in a parking lot). If anyone has ANY idea or just mere speculation let me know i'm pretty desperate for an answer here. thanks.

you have a hose off, or a tear that your not seeing, the black smoke is the fuel that you motor is dumping because there is sapposed to be air there to mix with but there isn't because it's leaked out of your piping, if you are familiar with doing a system pressure check, this will most likely help you to determine where your culprit lies...
im guessin its his intercooler piping.. same thing happened with a friend recently.. all black smoke and same symptoms that are mentioned above.. just after a run on full boost..
