GM or AEM 3 port boost control solenoid...Stock ECU

Im looking to do this to lesson my taper. I currently have a forge mbc which seems to be tapering more and more lately. I know I may have a boost leak but I will be checking that shortly. Does anyone know if the AEM BCS will work with the stock ECU, and will I have to wire in a resister like the GM?

Thanks,
Chris

A plug-n-play 3 port is now available through Tactrix:

Do you have any thoughts on which bcs is the best between the three? I am just leaning towards the AEM because the local shop here sells them... Also, what makes the tactrix one different so that it doesnt have to have a resister installed?

I believe the AEM one will work. And if you are interested, I have one for sale along with the AMS mounting bracket. I installed it and then found out Buschur only tunes MBC, so off it came. The car was started for about 10 minutes with it on. PM me if you want more info so we dont go off topic!

I am using the Tactrix Boost Soleniod that Erik linked above. The install was easy and I was able to hold more boost. I currently run 26.5 PSI falling to 23PSI at redline.

I've seen GM soleniods fail a little too often.

I would go with the Tactrix (prodrive) unit if you got the cash.

We've probably sold and installed over 300 GM 3 ports on both Evo's and Subarus and have only had around 3 DOA and 2 fail on the car. When they fail/DOA they run wastegate boost.

They also do not really need the resistor inline. We have a bunch of them on our sponsored NASA Time Trial track record breaking Evos with no issues.

The AEM (MAC valve) works fine with the stock ECU. As does the Tactrix/prodrive/gruppe-s

Perrin works fine as well.

GM is the cheapest by far.
