Seriously, what you have is a excellent product... It will aid you even if you're not at 1,000 AWHP.. Trust me.... The drivability, the idle, everything becomes smooth... I would seriously talk to the people at SparkTech before making a thread like this. SparkTech has a great staff of workers and will take care of all their customers, not something a lot of venders do here. I'm sure he'll walk you through what ever issue you are having and will make sure that for the money you spent you get a great working product. That's what I've come to learn about SparkTech and that's the kind of person Craig is, so please next time e-mail or call the vender and give them a chance to help you.

When some other people have problems, they seem to like (whether intentional or not) to create needless drama about a product by

posting on the forums. I understand the forum is here to help, but please understand the potential affects of your posts. Pretty

soon you'll have posts like this for a good and reliable product:

"Oh crap, yo, I waz going to buy this product until I found out it was teh suxorz." with lots of

emoticons after it.
^^^ Exactly... It gives uninformed people the reason to doubt a product/ company without giving them a chance because they will pre-judge, just look below.. Perfect example. \/\/\/\/\/\/

Some people are quick to read one post and make a judgment and forget this very same product has helped many record holders and legendary EVO's.... Need I say more ?

What are you running for engine management? I have the Sparktech COP setup and it runs great now. However I had trouble with it and the TurboXS UTEC because the output signal from the UTEC couldn't trigger the Ignition box. Guess what the result was? I got rid of the UTEC.

Definitely talk to Sparktech, he will go OUT OF HIS WAY to make things right. I spent an entire weekend on the phone with him as I was troubleshooting different components and ultimately my problem had nothing to do with the sparktech setup. But he was ready to do whatever it took to get it working.

I think it was in very poor taste to start a thread like this if you haven't already contacted and worked with sparktech.

BTW as another poster noted, just swapping the COP from the HKS DLI-II netted me around 20-30whp (depending on my boost) and I can run a larger gap so I get much less high-boost misfire. I saw gains with as little as wastegate pressure boost (15psi on a 35r) and as high as 35psi it was a pretty significant difference. Drivability and idle were the biggest improvement.

And it works perfectly with the stock ECU. I've been running the unit for about 2 months now.

Not to beat a dead horse, but titling a post with "Car won't run with brand new sparktech ignition" implies to many people that you're having issues with (and possibly blaming) the sparktech system.

People just need to be circumspect with what they post which is hard when you're frustrated there's a problem on your car.

If he wants to say something about a product so be it. Let him post up what his problem is.

The DLI-II if you mount it away from getting any heat from the motor & and a place were there is no vibration you dont have to worry about it craping out on you. There are supras that make way more power then evo's 1100+hp running DLI-II without a problem.

If im not mistaken the dli 2 doesn't work the same with the evo ignitions just because of the way its setup. Ill get John Reed to chime in he is a amazing tuner and knows supra inside and out

I talked to Craig and he was very helpful, just wanted to let everyone know that the point of the thread was to see if there was a quick fix for my problem NOT BASH THE VEDOR! Now as for the whole call first before you post what is the point of a forum then, if you notice the the time of the thread you would have realized it was a little late for a call to a business.
