How long did your OEM clutch last
apparently finding someone to answer a simple question without being a #$ck about it is hard to find...
i changed mine early... had lots of life left... just wanted aftermarket... i know mine was in the singe thousand digits 5000-8000... i know a buddy of mine has over 45000 on his oem clutch with no slipping

18000 400whp/442tq 27psi race gas tune. 60+ launches at the track. (drag strip)
and its still holding. i been waiting for it to go to put a exedy twin disc in but this thing wont give up.

Its not a question of being a dick or not. The question is pretty useless as it stands. Obviously the op has problems driving running through two clutch discs in 50k miles. Even fails to state power levels and driving style. A clutch will last however long you want it to. As long as you're not making tremendous power, constantly over heating the friction surface, and just plain beating on it. Next time search or just use common sense. The exedy twin should help the longevity of your clutch issue but I would correct your driving habits first.
To address the questions in this particular post, my car is almost stock, with just an upgraded LICP and a small flash adjustment to take advantage of the MIVEC timing. I have not dyno'ed the car since the mods, but I would guess about 250 whp. These mods were done during my second clutch's service life. So for the first 25k, my car was bone stock. For the second 25k, it had these small mods. I have not tracked my car yet, just the occasional stop light launches. My previous car was a 1999 Eclipse GSX, and its original clutch lasted 65k. I don't think I drove the Evo much differently than the Eclipse. Judging from the range of clutch longevities in the replies, I guess I have nothing to complain about. 25k might even be slightly better than average. So I'm hoping that the Exedy will be my last and final clutch, and that the OEM clutch is a fast-wearing one. Thanks again for your inputs, and I would appreciate hearing even more (or maybe a link to another thread that talks about this)
Mine was replaced before I bought the car (had less than 10k on it) but that was because the previous owner went to the track a lot. If you are easy on it (read-don't launch it) it can last as long as 100,000 or more. However, increased power & launching it can result in it going in less than 1,000...
However, my buddy's first Exedy twin went after about 20-25k, and he is now on his second. So there is no guarantee the Exedy will last any longer...

just replaced it at 50 or 51,xxx odd miles my brother learned on it and i learned on it when he sold me the car mods were BR 3 DP 3 in magnaflow ti TBE 10.5 hotside and BR LICP for most of its life...handled a ****load of abuse including an amount of launching before it started to slip but i was gonna upgrade anyway because im going to try to start making more power and add a couple of mods went with the ACT HDSS with streetlight FW and I CAN FEEL THE POWER the difference is awesome its just as smooth and drives awsome
Another update from the OP
ok here's another update. I just got the Exedy twins installed, and have driven it around for a day. I'm loving every minute of it! I was warned by the dealer that the pedal pressure will be a lot harder than stock (ie my left leg will get tired in a traffic jam) and the Exedy Twins transfer a lot of noise through the transmission into the cabin. Neither of these things turned out to be true. The pedal was actually lighter than stock, and I could barely hear any noise from the tranny, just a faint "rattling beans" sound that was easy to zone out. Maybe the installer was really good, or maybe I just got lucky. But I am really glad I put that thing in! I'm hoping this one will last at least till 100k. The mechanic told me this clutch will probably outlast the car.
