Little angels in the oil pan...

So... this is what the oil pan on a 47K mile 2005 Lancer Evolution is SUPPOSED to look like. I had no idea. Sure seems like all that must have come from the warranty voiding gnomes that live in my engine bay. (The car is BONE stock) Bastards... I guess this makes perfect sense. If you don't have ALL the service records on your EVO it'll spin bearings.

Mobil 1 synthetic... (I'm not however the origianl owner which is why i didn't fight the warranty battle too hard)

I've never run the car. I've only really beat on it 2 or 3 times in the 3 months sense i got it.

it's about 50/50 that the previous owner neglected it or that it's a genuine factory defect. Who knows... Looks like an AMS 2.3 block in my near future.

Some of the spots are just the oil mixing with carb cleaner but all that down in the bottom of the pan... that's a bearing. The #1 bearing to be exact.

Now i gotta figure out why it did this...

i dont know how everyone has problems with mitsu dealers. i mean i did in hawaii and just in ny. but here in va beach they have replaced my steering wheel, the plastic around the key hole. and no at 60030 i am gettin my cv axle replaced under warrenty. i guess you need to talk to other dealers and actually give them businsess. all i do is get oil done there

i have had all my calipers replaced under warranty because of the fluid making them discolor. No problems at all getting them to install new ones-JOEYD
