so when i turned on my car it made a strange whining noise. I thought well ill drive it for a min. maybe its cold or something. while driving i still heard the noise so i stopped and turned the car off then on again... still made the noise...i popped the hood and its coming from the engine bay area. i turned the car off then put the key in the on position...and it makes the noise again. so with the key in the on position its making a constant whine, almost as if the horn was constantly on but quieter. any ideas? any input would be greatly appreciated thank you.

ill try...its pretty basic. when i turn the key to the on position there is a whining noise(almost sounds like a loud humming) coming from the engine bay area. its a constant sound and does not go away. if I start the car the noise is still there.

nevermind im such a retard. i tried tracking down the noise and it was coming from the intake side of the engine, and I thought wait a min this noise sounds familiar?... Then i realized that the intercooler sprayer switch got stuck to the manual on position lol Let the flaming begin lol
