Autometer Colbolt boost gauge problem

Well I installed the gauge it worked perfect until I turned the car off. The I started it up after filling with gas and it reads like 12 pounds and then goes to 30????? I turned the car off and on a few other times and it's still screwed. I know I read about this before but I could not find out what to do to fix it.

Thanks again

Which +12v wire (red wire) did you tap into? In the instructions it say's that you need to tap into a 12v source that doesn't break connection during start up. Otherwise your gauge will auto compensate with the wrong calculations and give misreadings.

I also have the cobalt gauge but haven't installed it yet. Waiting for my gauge holder to arrive. Anyhow I would like to know which wires you used to tap into, and if you wouldn't mind sharing this info? Also if you have pics. Greatly appreciated. Thanks eric

Does the Evo come with a little distributor block on the positive terminal like the Lancer? I dunno what most of you guys are doing, but I ran a new 12v line off the distributor for my future LED project. Right now it's powering my EGT.
